Restaurant Review - Frisco
The moment you enter Frisco, you're greeted by smiling faces and cool and comfortable vibe. This all day diner nestled off the end of lane 7 in Koregaon Park offers many familiar dishes but all with a unique twist. From some of the most unique thirst quenchers to a delectable jumbo burger and interesting appetizers, the variety of food served here is quite a gastronomic treat. The one-page menu has something for everyone whether you want a quick bite, a decadent meal or breakfast at any time of the day. What really makes it stand out from all other joints is their plating and presentation.
We started our meal with the super refreshing Thai Iced Tea, which was a sweet milky iced tea with hints of vanilla and lemongrass, and the Ginger Mint Fizz which was a nice gingery cooler.
In appetizers, we ordered the Baby Prawns which were marinated in herbs and served in a tomato based sauce. The parsley and lemon juice leave a tingling taste for a good amount of time!
I love Smoked Salmon so I had to try the Tartare. The Salmon was cooked to perfection and blended perfectly with the fresh and tangy flavors of capers, cucumber, olives and lime juice. We finished it in no time.
Ever since I've started working out (occasionally), I've tried to eat healthier and include more salads in my diet so I also tried the Aqua Marine Salad which has a delicious blend of Squid, Baby Prawns, Basa Cubes, Cherry Tomatoes, Olives and Lettuce with a Lemon honey dressing. This was refreshing and the subtle sweetness of honey in the dressing was an interesting and tasty combination with the salad. A notable mention here (not pictured) is the Caesar Salad with the non vegetarian dressing. Its unbelievable!!
Being the seafood freaks we are, for main course we tried the Basa with a Lebanese Harra sauce. I had never tried Harra sauce before and I quite liked its tangy tomato base.
We also had the Black Pepper Chicken which consisted of a grilled chicken breast in a tasty pepper sauce served with sauteed veggies and mashed potato.
As you might have seen from the photos, Frisco gets full points for presentation. Taste wise, everything is just as good as it looks. Though the upper area sitting is slightly cramped, everything else makes up for it. So, if you’re looking for a fun new place that’s all about serving good food I suggest you to try out Frisco!
